European Broadcasting Union: “The most important media event marking Mozart’s 250th birthday. Live broadcasts reached an audience of million viewers in 33 countries.”

24hours Mozart, a global tribute to the musical genius of W.A. Mozart, has met with overwhelming success. It was the largest birthday celebration every to be aired on TV: 24hours Mozart, a unique marathon TV event revolving around the life and work of the musical genius from Salzburg, represented the highlight of the Year of Mozart in 2006. Its success was overwhelming: the live satellite broadcast from Berlin, Vienna, Salzburg, Prague and Peking reached an audience of million viewers in 33 countries.
